HIRING: EVENT SERVERS & BARTENDERS
Dandelion Catering is hiring for the 2023 event season!
We're looking for enthusiastic servers and bartenders to join our team and work with us at weddings and other special events in beautiful settings around the state.
Compensation includes competitive hourly pay plus tips, mileage reimbursement, accrued PTO, and a family meal with leftovers to take home at most shifts.
Server tasks include unloading and loading the catering van, setting the dining tables, preparing other service areas (ex. cocktail hour tables), passing hors d'oeuvres, running food to guest tables, pouring water, bussing and scraping dishes, and maintaining a clean work and event space.
Bartender tasks include unloading and loading the catering van, setting up and breaking down the bar(s), maintaining ice levels, managing glassware, and pouring wine, beer, and cocktails both at the bar and table-side.
Experience is a plus, but not required. We will train you and assign work based on skill level.
Once hired, you can sign up for as much or as little work as you'd like!
Most shifts are on Saturdays, but some weekday work is also available.
This is a physical job with long hours. We will work outdoors in all weather, and the job requires you to be on your feet for the majority of 8-12+ hour shifts, as well as to lift and carry heavy things (ex. cases of wine, coolers of ice, crates of dishware).
Reliable transportation required. Events are located within a 2 hour radius of Yarmouth, ME and you are responsible for your own travel; carpooling with your teammates is an option but not coordinated by the company.
